Privacy Policy — Livio Live Video Chat App
Last updated: June 1, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Livio Live ("Livio," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Livio, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
Livio Live is a social video chat and live streaming platform for users aged 18 and older. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: display name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender, country, and profile photo.
- Profile content: bio, interests, recorded video introductions, and photos you upload.
- Communications: messages, reports, and support requests you send through the Service.
- Purchase information: transaction records for coins, gifts, and subscriptions (payment details are processed by Google Play or Apple App Store — we do not store your credit card number).
- Verification data: selfie or photo submitted for age or identity verification.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: device model, operating system, unique device identifiers (Android Advertising ID, IDFA), language, time zone, and network type.
- Usage data: screens visited, features used, call duration, match history, and interaction patterns.
- Camera and microphone data: Livio accesses your device camera and microphone to enable live video calls and recorded video features. Video and audio streams are transmitted in real time to the other participant and are not recorded or stored on our servers unless you explicitly create a recorded video introduction.
- Log data: IP address, access times, app crashes, and referral URLs.
- Location data: approximate location derived from IP address to enable country-based matching. We do not use GPS-level precise location.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Sign-in providers: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture as authorized by you.
- Advertising partners: we may receive anonymized attribution data from ad networks (e.g., Google AdMob) to measure campaign performance.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the Service: match you with other users, enable video calls, streaming, and messaging.
- Safety and moderation: detect and prevent fraud, abuse, CSAE, nudity, and policy violations using automated systems and human review.
- Purchases: process coin/gift transactions and manage subscriptions.
- Personalization: improve matching quality and recommend relevant content.
- Communication: send service updates, security alerts, and promotional messages (with opt-out).
- Analytics: understand usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and improve the Service.
- Advertising: serve personalized or contextual ads via Google AdMob and similar partners (see Section 6).
- Legal compliance: respond to legal requests, enforce our terms, and protect users.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these circumstances:
- With other users: your display name, profile photo, country, gender, and age range are visible to people you match with. Your video and audio are transmitted to call participants in real time.
- Service providers: hosting (cloud infrastructure), payment processing (via app stores), content moderation, analytics, and customer support.
- Advertising partners: anonymized or pseudonymized device identifiers and usage data for ad serving and measurement. These partners are bound by their own privacy policies and contractual obligations.
- Law enforcement: when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users — particularly in cases involving child safety (CSAE), where we report to NCMEC and relevant authorities.
- Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of the transaction.
5. Data Retention
- Active accounts: data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Deleted accounts: upon account deletion, we remove your profile, matches, and messages within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes, or data preserved for law enforcement investigations).
- Moderation data: reports, bans, and related evidence may be retained for up to 3 years to enforce repeat-offender policies and cooperate with authorities.
- Analytics data: aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.
6. Advertising and Third-Party SDKs
Livio uses Google AdMob and related advertising SDKs to serve ads within the app. These partners may collect:
- Device advertising identifiers (GAID/IDFA)
- IP address and approximate location
- App usage data and ad interaction data
You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization; iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking). For EEA/UK users, we obtain consent before serving personalized ads in compliance with GDPR via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP).
We do not serve ads on or adjacent to live video call screens or replay/streaming screens to prevent ads appearing alongside user-generated content.
6A. AI Chat & AI Companion Features
Livio offers AI Chat features that let you converse with AI-generated characters. When you use these features:
- Message processing: the messages you send to an AI character are processed by artificial-intelligence language models to generate responses. Processing may occur on our servers or through trusted third-party AI providers acting as sub-processors.
- Not a real person: AI characters are fictional and machine-generated. No human reads your AI conversations except where content is flagged for safety moderation.
- Storage: AI conversation history may be stored to maintain context and continuity. You can clear it from the app; deleting your account removes it within 30 days.
- Improvement: anonymized AI interactions may be used to improve response quality and safety. We do not sell your AI conversations.
- Custom AI characters: attributes you choose when creating a private AI (name, appearance, personality) are stored to render your character and are visible only to you.
- Moderation: AI conversations are subject to automated safety filters. Generating prohibited content (including CSAE, illegal, or harmful material) through AI is strictly forbidden and may be reported.
7. Your Rights
7.1 All Users
- Access: request a copy of your personal data.
- Correction: update inaccurate information via the app (Me → Edit Profile).
- Deletion: delete your account and data via the app (Me → Settings → Delete Account) or our Account Deletion page.
- Opt-out of marketing: unsubscribe from promotional emails or disable push notifications in Settings.
7.2 EEA/UK Users (GDPR)
In addition to the above, you have the right to: data portability, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and withdrawal of consent at any time. Our legal bases for processing are consent, contract performance, legitimate interest (safety, fraud prevention), and legal obligation. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].
7.3 California Users (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, contact [email protected].
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, regular security audits, and 24/7 monitoring. However, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and not share your account credentials.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we ensure adequate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.
10. Children's Privacy
Livio Live is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we discover that a minor has created an account, we will terminate it immediately and delete all associated data. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and relevant international child protection laws. See our Child Safety Policy for more details.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
